We are currently seeking a highly qualified Senior Managing Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in both state and federal court systems within Texas. The position requires an individual who is meticulous, detail-oriented, and capable of teaching foreign staff about the discovery process.The Senior Managing Paralegal will play a crucial role in our litigation workflow, requiring a high degree of organization and independent decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee all stages of the litigation process, including drafting and responding to discovery requests.
- Develop and implement an efficient litigation workflow system, aligning closely with the needs and procedures of our firm.
- Prepare trial binders and other essential court documents, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Educate and mentor foreign staff on the intricacies of the discovery process, fostering a collaborative learning environment.
- Work on cases with limited supervision, demonstrating the ability to make sound decisions independently.
- Collaborate with attorneys, clients, and other team members to ensure seamless case management.
- Perform administrative tasks as needed, such as coordinating meetings, managing calendars, and maintaining organized case files.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field; Paralegal certification required.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience as a paralegal, with a focus on litigation and case management in both Texas state and federal courts.
- Proficiency in drafting, reviewing, and responding to discovery requests.
- Proven ability to design and implement efficient workflow systems for litigation.
- Experience preparing trial binders and other court documentation.
- Excellent teaching skills, with experience training or mentoring team members.
- Superior organizational and detail-oriented skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently.
